“We love working with Marianne and even when she’s under the deadline gun, she still does a superb job with the best of humor.”

Bruce Hedrick, editor, Northwest Yachting

“[Your] tone is smart and edgy, with the kind of biting humour and clever observation which we love. You’re a good writer.”

Denise Ryan, assistant editor, Vancouver Magazine

Marianne Scott writes about her worldwide travels, afloat or on foot.

Afloat on a boat in New Zealand and British Columbia, or on foot through Shanghai, Marianne brings her animated observations and photos alive on the page.

Recently, she has described an eco-journey in New Zealand’s Fiordland; Manihi, a pristine atoll in French Polynesia; a whirlwind tour of Shanghai; a multi-part exploration of Puget Sound; circumnavigations of British Columbia’s Gulf Islands and Vancouver Island; and, a description of how award-winning cheese maker Natural Pastures makes its products.

Below are just a few of Marianne’s travel tales. To read sample PDF articles, click on the highlighted titles. To view PDFs, CLICK HERE to download free Adobe Acrobat Reader.
